Collegiate Wrestling in Georgia

Title IX successfully eliminated all Collegiate programs from Georgia. Team Georgia along with the Georgia Wrestling Coalition have been successful in the past several years to see programs started or restarted at several Schools.  Click on a school's name below to view infomation on each school.

Georgia's Wrestlers College Profile

Wrestlers that want to continue wrestling in college have many options.  Georgia now has several schools:  Shorter University, Life University, Truett McConnell, Brewton Parker & Darton College.  In addition to the Division II, NAIA, Junior College options listed above, several schools also offer Wrestling as a club program.  Staying in Georgia has many options such as the HOPE Scholarship.  There are also hundreds of opportunities in surrounding states as well as across the country.  There are many Division I, Division II, Division III, NAIA, Junior College and Club programs around the country.  Any wrestler that wants to continue wrestling in college has many options.  The hardest part is finding the right fit for you.  Many of the Team Georgia Volunteers have to work hard at finding the right fit for their wrestler.  Based on our experiences and talking to hundreds of College Wrestling Coaches, Team Georgia has developed a College Wrestling Profile.  Click here for more information.
